Wondering what fellow boarders have had luck with in cleaning up oil leak on sealed conc slab. Got some leaky seals and have enough of a stain on my garage floor that I'd like to clean it up. Is there particular absorbent / process that works best?

I don't know how this would work with a car driven daily, I have a piece of cardboard that I covered on one side with tinfoil.

It has been under Beetlebomb for several years, foil side down.

The cardboard has several spots on it, but nothing gets through to the floor.

You can buy drip pans at many auto stores, Years ago, all our fire apparatus had pans about 8' x 4' under them. Todays diesels do not leak anything like those old, huge, Waukesha and Hercules engines did!

Use an "oil dry" - "speedy dry" type product--cat litter will work too. Sprinkle a layer on the entire wet/stained area to sop up the real wet stuff. Let it sit if it's puddles. If it's just stains you can get to the next step right away. Sweep up the oil soaked absorbent --sprinkle a light layer--get on your hands and knees with a 2x4 about 1.5 feet long. Use the board to "scrub" the stains--the concrete will come perfectly clean. Some absorbents will make dust--so a mask would be advised. -- Dave
