Sicky feel when shifting M46 200 1986

Last Sept, I installed a M46 transmission into my '86 240 replacing my autobox.
About 2 months ago, I installed new shifter bushings at the bottom of the shifter itself. This improved greatly the slop of the shifter. Now over the lastt month, I've noticed that when shifting esp at lower speeds, it feels as if thet shifter is sticking and just not shifting as fluid as I think it should. This is my first M46, so I'm not really sure what to fully expect. Is there anything I can do to make it shift more smoothly? I even greased the base of the shifer where the ball/socket come together.

Thanks.

It helps a bunch, if you have fresh fluid in the transmission as it is more slippery. Did you put in fresh back in September?

Check the clutch cable for a full stroke disengagement.

Yes, I did replace fluid with full synth. I do have a nice used clutch cable. I check the level and adjust the cable this weekend if it needs it.

Thanks for the suggestions.
