Sicky feel when shifting M46 200 1986

Last Sept, I installed a M46 transmission into my '86 240 replacing my autobox.
About 2 months ago, I installed new shifter bushings at the bottom of the shifter itself. This improved greatly the slop of the shifter. Now over the lastt month, I've noticed that when shifting esp at lower speeds, it feels as if thet shifter is sticking and just not shifting as fluid as I think it should. This is my first M46, so I'm not really sure what to fully expect. Is there anything I can do to make it shift more smoothly? I even greased the base of the shifer where the ball/socket come together.

Thanks.
