Dear The Rod,

Hope you're well. The Volvo pocket data book - Cars: 700, 850, 900 (1991-1996) on p. 32 specifies Bosch Fuel Pump 0 580 453 033 for cars with engines B200/230 F/FB/FD/G; B204E; and B234F. The Volvo part number for this pump is 9135418.

In the next column, covering turbo-equipped engines, the Bosch Fuel Pump specified is 0 580 453 037 (Volvo Part #9135605, superseded by Part #9438756).

Both pumps, with 12 volts supplied, are rated for 130 litres/hour. Both pumps draw 6.5 Amps.

It is not clear why Volvo ever had two distinct part numbers for pumps with the same capacities.

In any case, the pump you found was the correct pump for your car.
