Hey I just went through this on two bricks, both went through 2 years in FL on 480 A/C. The 92 had been converted, but had a leaky evaporator, so took about 2 years to get enough spare moola to get that fixed. Also plan on replacing the receiver/dryer too, whatever is wrong w/ it, if the system is not air tight. All that stuff added up to about a grand by the time it was finally working. On the 93 I got lucky, it was still tight, just a bad low pressure switch, that one was less than $200. If you really want it, budget $200-1000, take it someplace you trust and have them check it out and give you an estimate to fix. Fixing the A/C on a volvo is almost like waxing a rusty beater, but it's hard to live w/o it in FL.
