check the wires in the left hatch hinge (NMI) 200 1992

Wires run through both hinges. I suspect there is not a 240 wagon in existence that has not had those wires repaired, or is in need of repair. It is a common problem, and the most likely cause of your problem. If you search the board (use Google), you will find many posts detailing the repair.
