I agree that it's a failed pressostat which is mounted on the accumulator. This is the switch on the silver "tank" next to the firewall on the right side of the engine compartment (it has a wiring harness going to it so it's easy to identify). You can disconnect and remove it without discharging the system. Not expensive.
