HIGH BEAMS inoperable; turn signal switch problem/s 1993 240 200

My original turn signal / high beam / cruise control switch broke, after 22 faithful years.

The swich is held in place with two rivets, which are prone to fail. I bought a new one from Tasca Volvo, and it also went bad, for a different reason, within 11 months. I purchased a replacement new one from Tasca, and Volvo reimbursed me under warranty. No issues with the replacement, so far.

This is an easy job, and the unit can be replaced in about 15-20 minutes. I had to remove the plastic from the top and bottom of my steering wheel, and also, the knee bolster.

If it needs to be maintained, repaired or replaced on a 1990 240, I've probably done it. '90 240DL, 338,107 miles, will she make it to 400K ?? >>You haven't really worked on a car until you draw blood<< :-}
