How I turn off my fan control motor 200

Just from checking some of your other posts I think you are dealing with a 1984 model?

If the fan motor is running even though the fan switch is in the off position it's a sure bet that the AC microswitch is on. I will have to eat crow if you tell me the car doesn't have AC or if I find that this was not part of the '84 design. But I believe that by '84 this feature was in use.

It has been my experience that if the AC microswitch is not properly fastened you might think it is off but it may be the case that the entire switch has turned so that to outward appearances it is in the off position but it is actually still turned on.

So check that knob for the AC temp control and make sure it is turned as far as it will go in the CCW direction.

If the fan is still running I would pull the center console panel out and make sure the thin jam nut for the microswitch is completely tightened.

Outside air coming through the system will not, by itself, be enough to turn the fan although you will feel air coming out of the vents.

Check it with the engine off and the key in position I.
