On a 200 series car the bolts and thread are metric--6mm shank, 10mm bolt head. On the '74 164 the bolts are a fractional size--1/4" shank, coarse thread, 7/16 bolt head size (or philips as original)--makes no difference which head type bolt you use--and it makes no difference if they are left out altogether--the wheel bolted on keeps the rotor tight on the hub. Bolts or no bolts they have nothing to do with your fluid leak. -- Dave
