Accident 900

Last year a friend got in an accident with a 93 945 that I sold her. Rear-ended a Jeep with a tire on the back door. Significant damage, all above the Volvo's bumper.

Hood bent up, radiator pushed back, end of LF fender bent in, all plastic and lights destroyed.

As luck would have it, brother-in-law who is notorious for lack of mechanical aptitude, ran his 94 945 out of oil. I did want to kill him, but in the end 2 cars became one. Fender and hood and lights transplanted from his car to hers.

Lots of broken black plastic, all replaced, and inner sheetmetal straightened out. Had exactly 1 of everything in usable shape between the 2 cars. :)

It's all bolt-together and you won't have a lot of trouble doing the job. Bolts in door jamb, top row along hood, a bunch of plastic bits to re-attach. Take your headlight assemblies out complete with the black brackets, so it's only a couple of bolts.

I'll find some before-and-after pics. Our fix wasn't pretty, since it was from different color cars, but the 93 was back on the road for literally the cost of 1 headlight bulb.

Oh, and for final alignment of the fender, we were able to loosen under-hood bolts in the black plastic, and push hard on the fenders from the side until the hood gaps lined up. Then tighten everything down. Sounds a bit red-neckish but worked perfectly and didn't damage anything.
