Strut mounts on 2 and 7/9 series Volvo's last a long time, like 200K miles. so if you really put Volvo OEM mounts on your rig (Tasca shows 'em at ~70 bucks each), I seriously doubt they are dead.

Although I avoid chain auto repair shops, maybe your shop is good. Ask them to explain and/or show you how the strut mount is bad.

If you really have new oem Volvo parts here, I'd find another shop. Good luck.
