all 240s can use the front girlings found on later cars, up to abs years. the hubs, offset, etc. are the same from 75. the only problem is the 75 only b20 w/kjet in that body. there's where are problem might be in the engine compartment. the hoses, etc are different that the 140s. PRICES for any kjet parts have gone through the roof, though. Volvo, vw, etc., doesn't matter. the b20 was kept because the b21 couldn't get emission certified and the epa liked the b20s numbers already.
as far as the fuel tank, if it had a drain plug and the car was ever at the dealer since new, it SHOULD'VE gotten the recall to change the tank and add the feed pump.
me, i'd get vented girlings of any 75-90, a low mileage, if needed, 79-up fuel tank with required parts to adapt it, from the gas cap down to, but not including, the main pump, unless it's a 79 or 80, and any alloy wheel of any 240, 740, 940 that looks good. the 81 up fuel pumps for kjet mount differently and are hard to adapt to earlier cars. the 75-80 fuel pumps are hard to find, so if you get a chance to, grab it. good luck, chuck.
