I would just disconnect the dinger -- other items will be on the same fused circuit which you will not want to lose by removing a fuse. Try the inside handle first (as long as the "childproof" lever hasn't been engaged previously)--if that doesn't release the latch do as tricard explained--you'll need to get into the hatch cavity. The plastic "T" comes off the actual inside release handle by pushing it upward while spreading the split at the bottom. Then you can remove the plastic cover and proceed to pop the panel off. -- Dave
