Steering racks 200 1990

I did this on my '90 last year. I wanted a rebuilt CAM but couldn't get one through local suppliers. I now see that Advance Auto has that option. So I ordered what was supposed to be a CAM from Car Steering in CA- they even show a picture on their website of a CAM saying "this is what you will get." They sent me a ZF with no hardware. You need 2 metric bolts (forgot the size) for the driver's side of the ZF instead of the u-bolt, and a spacer (adapter) for the passenger end of the cylinder. The CAM spacer won't fit but you can use the same u-bolt. I made a spacer from a piece of Tough Board or whatever Home Depot calls their plastic board material. I have a bandsaw which helped. Cut a contour to match the ZF cylinder and then cut vertical notches for the u-bolt to hold the spacer in place. Had I used the rebuilt ZF that was available from Advance, they supply the bolts and steel spacer you need to convert.
The Car Steering cust. service was completely useless. No idea what I meant regarding spacers and bolts and misrepresenting the part. Shortly after I got everything running the input shaft seal began dripping. I do not recommend Car Steering for anything.
