Yes, Motorcraft YG-136 sold thru Ford dealers is essentially the same part sold by Volvo. If there's an all-metal version with the same form-factor currently available, I don't think anyone has posted the part # and source.

Who actually makes the thing in the blue Volvo box, the red Motorcraft box, or any other box is unknown.

Mine's been on the car for nearly 4 years (15K miles) with no issues.
