Check the Ground. Add a ground strap ?

You describe is a loss of power, not a mechanical failure, because the wipers return to start - finish the cycle--think they have been turned off.

2nd guess: whatever relay allows the intermittent mode to function.



PS I saw your crank seal picks...Caaaaaaaalllean engine.
(but yeh mine looked that good, but just before I buttoned it up after the Front seals got done)
