Rear window defroster no work 200 1984

The yellow wire goes all the way from the relay just to the left of the steering column in a harness under the left door sills, going into the trunk then up to the connection behind the left trim panel next to the rear window with no breaks. It is connected just behind that trim where you see the black insulated conductor coming off of the window heater. You can test with your VOM lead on the solder points that are above & below that black insulator. The right side should be grounded to the frame and test for good continuity to there. All of this was of course figured out the hard way. It is satisfying when you make something work, but some days... My next goal is power steering and air conditioning. I'm too stupid to give up, so wish me luck.

I know I paid too much, but Daisy came from Vegas, has no cancer at all and only a couple of minor dings. It's just been a long trial fixing everything ignored by the former owner. I don't think he could even hold a screw driver. The alternator failed before I left Vegas (thankfully). No Dash lights worked, no speedo needle, no clock or radio, rattles in the suspension from bolts never tightened, front strut bolts never tightened, burned out & faded interior... Not a single good vacuum hose, scary brake lines. Of course the electric locks were fouled up. I even found a beer bottle cap on the drive line carrier spring when changing U joints! At least the engine harness had been replaced.

I've spent a few hundred on parts from eBay because none of these seem to be around here in Montana junk yards.... I have the only one in the county. Driving Miss Daisy Liily today is a treat. We just smile as we fly down the road.
