73 ES exhaust manifold 1800

I have a hairline crack in my exhaust manifold right where the cyl 1 & 2 pipes meet the center section.

Anyone ever use a product called "quiksteel/thermosteel" the repair a crack?

Secondly, what is availability of an exhaust manifold for this engine. It is of course a B20F but I am wondering if other manifolds versions of the B20 will work.

Still having fun!

I highly doubt any putty fix will work -- even a welding or brazing job will eventually fail with all the expansion and contraction going on (I have some experience with this). Besides any B20E or F exhaust manifold, it is possible to utilize a combo iron intake/exhaust manifold from a carburetted model -- with the intake section hacksawed off. If you go this route the steel locating pin inserted in the head needs to be removed and you'll need to make stepped washers where the manifolds are adjacent (easy task with brazed together pieces). I have a couple of those available (uncut) if needed. -- Dave
