has anyone ever moved the location of the blower motor resistor? 200

Pretty sure many have tried this, but you won't hear them come back to say what a disaster (or firewall-mounted kludge) it turned out to be. The resistor, and especially its wiring, is rated with consideration of the airflow which it serves to regulate. Thing is, the resistor will not fail for any reason besides failure of the fan, so why??
