No power to fuel pump 1974 142 140-160

As my brother, hiperfauto said on Turbobricks, you really need a proper fuel pressure gauge. Also necessary are the correct fittings and a shut off valve, to properly diagnose K-Jet/CIS Bosch systems.

Most universal fuel injection pressure sets are pretty useless when it comes to CIS (Constant Injection System), mostly because they work with systems that have test ports and Bosch did not think to have dedicated test ports on their earlier systems.

We have a Snap-on fuel pressure gauge set up, but of course its expensive and I don't think its even available anymore with all the correct adapters.

I found what appears to be a compatible set up with a simple Goggle search at the website below.

I can't vouch for how well it works, but it looks good to me.

At $85.00 plus shipping, not a bad investment and if it works, will be a handy tool if you plan on checking out and repairing your fuel injection.

FYI, not a single one of my Snap-On wrench sets cost less than $85.00. And speaking of wrenches, be aware there are both UNC/UNF and metric threads and associated wrenches/sockets on your car, so don't assume and strip a fastener. Most if not all of the Bosch stuff is metric.
