Time/Parts for Cam Change 120-130

All,

I have a 67 Amazon with the B18 engine. I think it is the B spec at 100 hp.

What would the time be for a good mechanic to swap to a performance cam?

Other than the cam, is it best to change out anything else such as lifters/slings at this time?

K cam is perfect for your app. It is as good as an A cam at low speed, same as a D up to 5500rpm, economical & the kindest to the valvetrain. Works great in any B18A, B18B, B20A, B20B, B20E, B20F, B30A, B30E & B30F. If you have twin HS6 SU's, use KD needles. HIF use BBB.

Always use new or resurfaced lifters on a new cam, moly lube on metal to metal surfaces + oil change for break in period with extra ZDDP. New springs & a valve grind might be good, depends what it all looks like when you take it apart.

Volvo flat rate green book states 420 minutes. Head has to come off of course. There are 51 separate tasks listed in the method. Extra time has to be added for the removal of the exhaust from the manifold if you choose to leave the manifold and carbs attached to the head but most people will at least take the carbs off. New lifters MUST be fitted with the new camshaft.
