That's actually what I did also but I didn't want to complicate the post. I
fitted
- air fitting to a spare filler cap
- air fittings to old 0-30 lb regulator
- 2 short air hoses
- a small old sprayer tank
(all of which fits in a deep rollaway drawer)
So I can go
a. air supply -> regulator -? master-cyl reservoir; or
b. air supply -> regulator -> tank -> master-cyl reservoir
I usually just do (a) when bleeding because it's not onerous to refill the reservoir after each caliper. And no reason to risk contamination from the tank.
But there are times I want to flush a system - usually an old truck but sometimes a 240 with lingering soft pedal - by forcing fluid through rapidly.
