My daughter's friend worked for Jiffy Lube when he was a senior at college. He entered as a computer major, but got his degree in psychology (?)
He liked working on cars so much, he went to an automotive trade school out west.
Upon graduation, he was chosen by Ferrari to be a factory trained mechanic!
He invited his mother to Italy for his graduation, and wanted to give her a ride in a Ferrari. The shop foreman let him take a car - but it was wet, and he skidded across a set of railroad tracks and totaled the car.
It was a customer's car, and the foreman denied that he had approved the trip. Ferrari fired him.
He did a stint in Washington state as a VOLVO mechanic, then returned to Massachusetts to go to MIT in automotive engineering.
He was forgiven by Ferrari, and he worked at a Ferrari dealer in Boston.
After graduation, he went to Honda on a transmission engineering team.
He now works for Tesla.
So you CAN get a good tech at Jiffy lube! (Or, at least you once could!)
