Hi,
Firstly check the onboard diagnostic (OBD) for any error code. This could give a hint as to what the current issue is.
See:
https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/EngineOBDCodes.htm
Secondly you could check if your throttle position switch (TPS) is behaving properly. The TPS is a black squarish thing (about matchbox size) with 3 wires connected to it. Its located at your throttle body. The TPS takes care of your engine idling when foot is off the throttle. Normally any issue with TPS is reported as error code by the OBD. In short your TPS might need some adjusting.
Thirdly about the MAF you could clean its platinum wire and temp sensor inside with a MAF cleaner. I usually use carb cleaner anyway. MAF cleaner is more gentle acting chemical than the carb cleaner but so far I have no issue with mine. Use a hairdryer to quickly evaporate the chemicals off.
Lastly check your spark plugs. Worn plugs with increased gap may also lead to idle issues.
Try these first and report back.
Regards,
Amarin.
