89 245 broken plastic release handle for rear seat...creative ways to fix? 200

yes, there is very easy way to fix this more permanently.

if the bit of plastic that holds the two steel wires remains intact and only the handle part has snapped off find a comfortable size piece of wood that is the correct size to fit side to side and wide enough to be able to drill a hole all the thru in the middle while still having some meat left to grab.

drill the hole centered
find a self tapping screw long enough to pass through the wood without threading it and long enough to screw into the bit of plastic still containing the 2 steel wires. you have to drill a hole into the plastic that is centered but small enough in diameter to get the screw started for threading.

screw it in and you're done
