I don't know the official answer to your question and I highly doubt you can find out from any official Volvo source. Perhaps VDO, but I'm thinking you'd be awfully lucky.

In your position I would just grab my can of fluorescent orange spray paint (Krylon, Walmart) and give it a try. As faded as some of these gauge pointers are, it could not hurt. You might want to visit a hobby shop though, where I remember Testor's had a selection of paints for models and such. Or am I living in the past?

I wonder if those color-matching scanners can focus on a needle?
