Discontinued ac line - now what? 900 1993

I have an earlier model year '93 940 sedan in almost mint condition, which has a small leak in the metal fitting at the end of the hose from the compressor to the condenser. I've looked far and wide for a replacement, but the part is discontinued (#6841036) : despite it being listed in stock on several different sites and ebay, I've 'purchased' it now many times, only to be told it's unavailable. There are no decent pick and pulls in my area. Unfortunately, this car was made just a couple of months before the system was redesigned with the more user-friendly snap-in fittings, which are much more common and still available.

Does anyone know of a resource for repairing these old hoses, or perhaps any luck at brazing/fixing by other means? My local hydraulic hose place won't touch it..

Frustrating to have a car that drives/handles/feels amazing, turns heads but is unbearable to ride in come summertime!

If this last try does not work, find a slightly grubby truck repair shop that looks busy.

Truck shops that do general repair work see many types of trucks - and they have to get them back on the road.

My local general truck shop will try to repair anything, including reefer units.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. Well, the part Aleekat found on ebay showed up today, and it looks completely legit: correct part number and definitely old stock, but unused. They haven't made this hose in a while, apparently: I remember looking for it about 2 years ago when I first discovered the leak and it was impossible to find then: I've been topping off with refrigerant the last 2 summers but the leak is getting worse.

So very much appreciated, and I'll make sure I won't throw away the old part, that's for sure! I'm sure I can find a repair place to fix it at some point, it would make a good spare.

I had a hydraulic hose place in Burlington, Iowa bend a piece of metal tubing (tubing had a flare fitting that fit the condenser on one end) to match the existing tube, then used a high pressure compression fitting (also purchased from the same hose repair shop) to connect it to the end of the metal portion of the AC hose after I cut off the existing flare fitting & pipe with hole. Has been working for 2 years now.

Hey, thanks! This wasn't on ebay the other day: ordered one there from a different seller (they said they had 2 in stock) but then they informed me they were out of stock. Then I tried 3 other online sources, same thing. This one you sent looks more legit, seems to be an actual picture. Just bought it: I'll cross my fingers...

Good luck. Guess if that doesn't work out, maybe the other poster suggestion will work.
