bellisew,
For Volvo 300 series? By your postal (us=zip) code, you are in Croydon, England?
A Google search from here inside the states reveals this thread on the Volvo forms UK:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?p=2085729
So, I guess something to do with the Volvo 300-series (340 or 360) ignition system?
Could be a DAF part number? Volvo bought DAF in Netherlands. Then came the DAF/Volvo 66, 300, and the 400 series. I dunno how Volvo translated the DAF part number to the Volvo part number index and hierarchy.

As NewMexico240 asks, please contact the repair shop.
Maybe a photo image of the part requiring replacement?
You may also want to contact your nearby Volvo dealership, a quality auto parts store near you. I'm unsure, yet I believe later DAF, up to the Volvo acquisition, and during conversion of DAF to the Volvo badge as the 300 and 400 series, used Robert Bosch. So, you may want to ask a parts outlet that deals in Bosch.
Also, perhaps a phone call and a visit to any junkyards with Volvo 300-series in them for a used part replacement?
You may want to research Volvo automobile enthusiast boards in your nation, region, and continent. My google search in the inside of the U.S. states may limit what results I receive that are useful to you and the repair of your Volvo 300 series.
