Duck,

Too little, or total absence of, toe-in can cause the car to wander a bit, forcing you to have to "actively" steer it down the road.

If nothing else, get an assistant and measure the toe-in with a tape measure. It's not very high tech but it can at least give you fairly good indication of where you stand.
