hi sages- crutchfield radio purchases have been very good to me. learned about them on this forum. last year i bought their pioneer am fm cassette basic model. i think it was the last one available in america.they cant access these radios anymore. i have a different model pioneer in the 92 245 now, been there since i put it in in 2011. it has a front drop down door to load the cassette which is worn out and no longer makes reliable contact with the terminals actuating the various functions. will be putting the new one in soon. the older models and the one i bought have a front opening where you just push in the cassette, no drop down door. checked on the net and couldnt find any one selling these older cassette models. have a large collection of tapes so not interested in converting them to a cd mode. would probably cost billions. did get a 10 year old sony cassette radio in my packard repaired for $90 when the clutch tape mechanism crapped and spilled the tape.now works fine. anybody have any ideas. dont mind me i still drive rwd with .... yes 3 floor pedals!! hope it isnt creeping communism. thanks tons for your thoughts. oldduke
