Kittysgreyvolvo and all:
Good to hear from you. So you have escaped from Spokane....I did not know that, but have not been able to keep up with much of the Brickboard postings of late. My best wishes to your future in MO.
As far as an image of these KYB 4-Way adjustables.....just picture a typical replacement strut, Gold in color in this case, with a different tip on the upper rod end. The upper end being only 3/8ths of an inch or so in diameter, there is not much room there. That end has 4 colors in a ring and a very small adjusting slot in the center. Pop the plastic dome cap off the upper strut tower, and one is looking right down at this rod end. Struts come with a little, "key." Once installed, adjusting is accomplished by pressing down with that key and turning to one of the 4 desired firmness settings: Soft, Normal, Firm and Extra Firm. Having just had these installed, I have not experimented yet with the settings but will over the next few days. Car handling seems steady and flat now, (it has IPD sway bars), so it's pretty good right now, however, I expect to run the struts in the, "Firm," setting.
Again, these are the first strut and shock replacements since we got this 244 new some 192,xxx miles ago.
Regards,
Dennis in E WA state
