And now for a game of GUESS. . . .THAT. . . NOISE! 200 1987

Most rear end noises end up being the exhaust or crap in the trunk/smugglers compartments.

Exhaust is the gift that keeps on giving unless you do your own cat-back bolt together system. The over-the-axle pipe every muffler shop I have ever been to uses is going to clunk against the axle. Soft or torn hangers make it worse.

Stuff in the smugglers compartments is particularly a problem to find because you will not believe it is that simple so you will not check it. This goes for an unrestrained jack or tire iron or donut spare.

This is all assuming it is the rear u-joint frozen up or the center bearing carrier rubber being totally gone.
