Instrument and center console bracing 200

Hi all, been a few years since I have been here. Just got too old to work on

my babies much anymore but seem to have got into some trouble removing my

steering column and all the bracing around the area including the center

console metal bracing. Ok quick question is: Does anyone have full pics of the

metal bracing around these areas, including the driver support frame, center

console support frame and the frame area around the ignition switch where it

is closest to the upper center console area. There is a two hole brace just

above and slightly right of the ignition switch that has me baffled. It looks

like it connects to the center support brace where the drivers side steering

column support attaches to the center console support. Any pics of these areas

would be greatly appreciated.

I also tried, in vein, to find Art's old post about heater fan removal and installation, thinking there might be a pic or two there.
Thanks to anyone that can give a little help. Max.

Welcome back.

Here's where I keep those pics: http://cleanflametrap.com Check both the articles on the '90 dash and the heater core for the '91 for pics of the support iron under the dash.

Thank you so much Art. I used to have those printed out in my secret Volvo book but at my age I forgot where I hid it. And I saw the new 90 and 91 pics. They weren't there back when I printed the blower motor repair you had posted. These helped a lot. I think what I have done is I removed the top center support and forgot to reconnect it. Not sure yet. All I was trying to do was replace the electrical part of the ignition switch. Too old to get under the dash like I did years ago so I decided to take the steering column support out and try to move the center console out of the way to be able to get to the switch. Got the switch replaced and installed the steering support but looked up from the floorboard and saw a two hole brace just above the ignition switch. Guess it has to be the support above the center console. Think I will go get the plasma cutter out and see if that helps, Just kidding. Anyway, Thanks for all your help. Max
