Blower motor always on low (1) 200 1983

In my experience, the panel nut that fastens the thermo switch can loosen and when you turn the dial CCW to the off position it turns the entire switch ever so slightly and it may feel like it clicked off but it is still on.

You can do a visual check. Pop out the blank imediately to the right of the a/c/switch. Turn the knob to the off position. There is a metal tab that should move forward when completely off. If that's not happening then it's not turning off, no matter how it feels.

You should be able to tighten the switch. I believe you will need to loosen and pull back the center console to accomplish that. What to do should be obvious once you get in there.

It's worth checking before seeking other remedies.
