Front end "shimmy' 700 1991

My guess is ball joints. Tie rod ends are more likely to make it wonder on the road.

To give it a quick check all you need to do is lift the front tire off the ground, grab it at 12 and 6 o clock and wrench it back and forth. clunking or movement points to loose ball joints. Next grab the tire at 3 and 9 o clock and work it back and forth. Movement indicated tie rod ends need a look.

If you have the car up a on a lift the procedure is the same but you can see the movement.
