940 head gasket questions 900 1994

imo the exhaust manifold bolting arrangement to the block is the biggest pain for that entire job

leaving the 2 lining sleeves out surely works well if leaving the studs on the head.

my own preference is fresh studs on the head and i used studs that can double as long set screws because they have the hex forged into one end allowing for effortless install and relatively easy removal without damaging threads
