A good tire shop has a book that contains a vast amount of information about tires for various cars. At the very least, you should find out if those tires fit your wheels properly.

How about the dealer who sold you the tires?

Check Volvo's site to see if you can download an owner's manual.

I have always used 28 psi on all four and although I don't do a huge mileage, they seem to be wearing evenly across the tread.

Some of the older handbooks will have pressures for crossplys which run at lower pressures so check the tire size that they're quoting for.

I suggest 28-32 psi on all 4 tires.

I think the specifications listed in the Volvo owners handbook are way too low. They suggest 20-23 psi.

Even though I disagree with tire pressure specs, you get a copy of the of the owners handbook as there's a lot of good information including a wiring diagram. Downloadable copies are available at the website below. They also have copies of the repair and parts manuals too. Most of the information is accurate, but there are some things Volvo got wrong. Sometimes it's a Swedish to English translation problem, but most are printing errors.
