That picture explains everything.

You need to remove the pilot bushing for the BW35 before you can install the pilot bearing.

Spray a little penetrating oil on the bushing and it should slide out.

If it doesn't cooperate, use a pilot bearing removal tool.

Some of the big name auto parts stores will rent tools. The usual procedure is you pay for the tool and they refund your money when you return it.

Do you have a pilot bearing retaining clip?
