Replacement cars after 240s, 740s, 940s? 900

I went through the same I had a 1995 940 wagon non turbo, drove it painlessly for ten years and sold it to a coworker who had it for a couple more...I’m a big guy so loved the seats and the heat and ac in that one. Really only sold it because it had previous poor body work and clear coat was peeling

After I had this wagon my dad and brother had newer S and V 70 s that really were crap comparatively from a reliability and maintenance standpoint so I moved on and have had really good luck with Toyota’s - two camrys, a sienna , and now on our second highlander. As much as I loved the ruggedness durability and ride of the Volvo I have to say my Toyota’s have been less maintenance. Engines are just as bullet proof and the newer 3.5 V6 has a timing chain so no belt replacement. In 465 k miles across those cars I only had one issue that my scanner and I couldn’t easily diagnose and fix. Only consistent issue I have is wrapping rotors, I usually grease the caliper pins when I swap on/off my snows and helps, some strut related clunks.

I had bought my 940 when my wife was pregnant with the first of our two girls , who is now driving...so I was looking for a low(by red block standards) mileage 240/ or 940 and just can’t find any. Likely I’ll give my daughter my current Camry (180k) and get a Prius or Camry hybrid as I drive 60 miles a day. Both my highlander and Camry will go 300 k with out a lot of pain. Older year ones 100- 150 k or so can be had for 5-10 k
