fixed - 93 940sw tail light goes out when brake pedal depressed 900

Finally found it ...
the tail/brake light socket has two steel tabs for the contacts on the bottom of the bulb. AND a metal strip inside the socket on which rub the "pins" on either side of the bulb base; this is the ground contact.
Once I got down inside the socket & cleaned the ground strip, all has remained well even during rainstorms.
