'96 960 - Engine Flooded after sitting for a few weeks 900 1996

Ok, this was it! I did a quick sanity check on the timing belt by popping the cover off and everything looked fine (timing belt is only maybe 5-10k miles old). Looks like it was what you described...I had to crank and crank then it fired, with some valve tick after sitting, but it then cleared up and ran just fine.
