I have replaced selector shaft seals on many 240's. Buy 2 so you have the correct seal should you need it for the right side and if ordering on-line the postage will be the same. Yes it's as easy as it looks. Pry the old one out (carefully) and use a little grease or oil on the seal lip. An appropriate sized socket will work fine as a seal installation tool. - Dave
