Bougicord CPS is OEM.

FCP Euro asks a ok price. CPS is 53$ at Tasca parts for OEM (Bougicord).

There is another brand of CPS rt Benstein mentions yet I forget and can't find the article here.

Your 1990 740 is normally aspired (non Turbo), yes?

Have you checked OBD for fault diagnostic trouble codes?
