Blown? Oh, I can't suggest a common reason in the automatic. Fuse 5 in a '92 runs the backup lights and power mirrors in addition to the directional signals. You could try those things to see if they work without kicking the fuse. Should be a 16A fuse (red).
Guess without history, I'd look for a chafed wire at the shifter pizza switch or maybe among the mirror controls at the p-brake console, assuming the stalk switch for the turn signals isn't falling apart.

#6 should get warm with the motor running. It protects all of the engine management same as the one under the hood did in the 90 and earlier models. Uncomfortable on your thumb warm, not sizzle warm. Also a 16A.
