Pitman Arm removal 444-544

I am in search of a puller. Off the shelf pullers just don't do the trick, so if you are going to suggest I try AutoZone or Napa or something like that, "been there done that." I really don't want to buy one that I'm fairly certain it will work for $100, but I am will to pay someone here in on Brickboard to rent it, (if it works) then I will return it. The issue seems to be with the "toe" piece that fits between the top of the arm and the steering box. I only have maybe 1/4" of gap. Other pullers seem to be closer to 3/8 or larger.
I was able to remove it about a month ago, put it all back together without checking to see how my steering wheel lined up, and wouldn't you know it, I was off by 1 spline, but the steering wheel magnified my mistake by about 10 degrees. So the second time around I'm sure the Pitman arm is just a tad tighter and thus, less clearance. Any advice would be appreciated.

I used one similar to this one. Quality varies a lot. As you say, there isn't much room to get the jaws in. This one looks OK. As you have recently had it off it should pop of easily again.

Thanks Derek, but this is an "off the shelf" variety that doesn't fit very well. too static whereas I need something a bit more dynamic in terms of adjustment.

I found a couple on EBAY that show potential. I have messages in to both the sellers for specific dimensions.

One would think that since it came off before, it would be easy to take off again. Just the opposite, or perhaps it was my brute strength that did it...............
