odometer 120-130 64

122 folks,

The speedometer works (mostly) on our 122 (64)but the odometer is non functional. what's the fix for this? I have to admit I'm not even sure exactly how the odometers work (or not)on these cars.

as a side bar the odometer on my 1800 (66) works fine but the trip counter doesn't. is it the same fix.

The same thing happened on my 67 estate, I took the speedomoter apart and found that the odometer is driven off a little worm drive gear and nylon sprocket. The sprocket gear was broken and I didn't have a spare so I just replaced the whole speedometer. I imagine it could be fixed if one had the spare parts but I have no idea where to find parts like that.

Hi Ted,

I have a whole bunch of instrument cluster parts (and whole ones).

I can't speak to their accuracy, but gimme a shout if you like.
