switch on dash 1800 1968

Hello! I reciently purchased a 1800S and I was wondering what the toggle switch under the dash on the drivers side does. It dosen't seem to change anything in either the up or down position. Also does anyone know if wheels from a 73 140 will fit onto the same 1800S.

Thanks in advance

Guy

Re: switch on dash 1800 1968

On an early 1800S there was a switch there that had three positions, centre no interior light, two extremes light on permanent or only when the door opened. Later cars as Don has lready informed you.

Wheels won't fit, unless it is an injection car

    Regards

See if it changes the intensity of the high-beam indicator.

No kidding. It does (or did) on my '73 ES.

I hate to be wrong, but on my 122, there was a switch not wired to anything. It got power from the top fuse and nothing was hooked up to this. The idea was that it would be easier to wire accessories. Is it right on the outside of the dash?

As for the wheels; no. The bolt pattern changed in 1970 to what the 140, 240, 700, 900 RWD cars had. Pervious to that was different.
