Does a 1990 760 limited slip differental? 700 1990

I had the pinion bearings replaced in my 1990 760. Every since then, the rear end is very unstable in turns. If the car has limited slip and it is not working right would it cause a jumping/bad sway in turns?

Yes, the 1990 760 should have a limited slip differential from factory. At least the ones for the Swedish market.

The jumping or unstablity sounds like something is loose or broken from shody work. Take it back!

Just occured to me that if your rear was "locked" at all times, due to a screw up, that might explain your symptoms?

Put the car on jack stands and see if the wheels are locked hard together under all conditions. They should be able to have some small amount of relative motion.

Haven't ever had any of these problems, just some ideas. Keep us informed.

It doesn't have limited slip from the factory but if your experiencing this just after paying someone to repair your diff (pinion bearings?), then I'd take the car back to whoever just "fixed" it as it sounds like something's loose or worn, could be a serious safety issue too.

I have taken the car back to the shop 3 times. They agree something is wrong with the car but they can not figure out what is wrong. Maybe it is not slipping as suggested.
