Kevin, my 1987 turbo wagon with 355,000 km has some crank case pressure and I have had some small leaks at the cap. To keep your valve cover cleaner, check the tabs on your oil cap. I noted mine got bent over time and didn't pull the cap down tight enough even after I put a new gasket on. I tried bending the tabs so the cap closes tighter on the valve cover. Worked for me !!! Givve it a check !!!
